I’m not exactly sure what’s going on in Syria right now but it doesn’t look good. This explosion was captured tonight in what appears to be a second airstrike.
Activists and residents in Damascus have reported large explosions originating from Qasioun Mountain, a strategic military position for the forces of Bashar al-Assad.

I am not nearly well enough informed to have any sort of discussion on Middle East politics. My main interest is awful fascination about the size of the explosion caught on camera.
Some of the reports I’ve read have mentioned the Israeli jets broke the sound barrier. I’m curious, does anyone know whether the sound in the video is from the explosion or from the jets?
Also how does that explosion compare to this one from the fertilizer plant in explosion in Texas?
