There are certain images that, for me, conjure up a heartbreaking loneliness. This is one of them. This small, brick house abandoned, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, offers up the ghosts of its past.
Not just in the middle of nowhere but built in, what looks like, a barren land void of trees or even crops. Almost as if it was dropped here accidentally.
Who lived here? A family? A husband and wife? Were there children laughing and playing in the vast open space around them? What fears crept into the hearts of those people as darkness fell upon the emptiness around them? So many questions long to be answered.
