A Michigan man who was slated to have his home torn down last week tried everything he could think of to save it. Everything and then some to be exact. Once the Pontiac, MI resident realized that there was no stopping the crew that was on its way to demolish his home he came up with one, last diabolical plan. He switched the numbers on his house with the abandoned, rundown crack house next door. Luckily for him he was able to find an abandoned, rundown house in the middle of Michigan right?
It worked. The crew showed up and proceeded to tear the wrong house to the ground.
City officials in Pontiac aren’t too happy about his shenanigans but his neighbors actually cheered the fact that the crew knocked down the other house saying that it was an “eyesore” in the community. One neighbor went so far as to offer to buy the demolition crew a 12-pack of beer for their philanthropic demolition. The same neighbor went on to say that the only person that would have considered renting that (former) house would have been a “crackhead” anyway.
Sadly it the thrill of victory didn’t last long. The crew returned a few hours later and proceeded to demolish the correct house.
