James and Karla Murray have a wonderful collection of photos called STORE FRONT: The Disappearing Face of New York – 10 Years Later. These are a few of their images and they are a fascinating look at just how much NYC can change in ten years.

Obviously there’s always going to be change but it’s sad to see how sterile and boring the change has become. There’s no little to no consideration for quality or aesthetics. It’s simple, bare bones and boring.
